Depart from Marrakech in direction Ouarzazate, we passed Berber villages that dot the way contributing to the contrast of colors.
We will cross the Atlas at the port of Tichka (2260 m), where the various you can admire valleys in the area.
We crossed to the South side of the unmistakable Atlas by the difference in vegetation that we have seen so far and with eyes on the semi-arid plains before reaching the city quiet Ouarzazate, famous for the film studios.
Lunch and visit the Kasbah Taourirt is here intended. Then go through the Ait Saoun port with its stunning views (gorges, canyons…).of colors.
Comes time to discover Morocco’s largest Valley, the Draa Valley and the river that gives it its name form an ecosystem that alternates the aridity of the surrounding Saghro and Siroua mountains with the greenery of the multiple palm groves which you will find by its geography.
Rest deserved to view before reaching Zagora official entry into the wilderness.
Once in Zagora without wasting time go to mount Dromedary that in a couple of hours will take us approximately to the tents where we spend the night in the dunes and with a star-filled sky.
After enjoying a night in the desert, we come back the same road to Ouarzazate. We will visit one of the most famous Kasbahs in the country, the whole of Kasbahs of Ait Ben Haddou served as a backdrop to several films (Lawrens of Arabia, Gladiator…). We continue the journey on the same route for trade caravans, will leave at the Tichka port and continue to Marrakech.
