We left Marrakech at 8am towards Ouarzazate, we Berber villages and hamlets dotted along the way contributing to the contrast of colors. Cross the Atlas in the port of Tichka (2260m), where you can admire the different valleys in the area. We crossed to the south side of the Atlas unmistakable difference vegetation we have seen so far and with eyes fixed on the semi-arid plains before reaching the silent city of Ouarzazate, famous for the studios, here it is scheduled lunch and visit the Kasbah Taourirt. After going through the port of Ait Saoun with its stunning views (gorges, canyons …). It’s time to discover the largest valley of Morocco, the Draa Valley and the river that gives its name make up an ecosystem that alternates the aridity of the surrounding mountains and Saghro Siroua with the green of the many palm trees that find its geography. I deserved break in sight before reaching Zagora official entrance to the Desert. Once in Zagora without wasting time we go to ride a camel in a couple of hours about the Haimas take us where we spend the night in the dunes and a starry sky.
After enjoying a night in the desert, we return the same way to Ouarzazate. Night on the town.
Visit one of the country’s most famous Kasbah, the set of Kasbahs of Ait Ben Haddou has served as a backdrop to several movies (Lawrens of Arabia, Gladiator …). We continue the trip on the same route of trade caravan will leave the port of Tichka and continue to Marrakech.
